Sufi Night & Qawwali

A Sufi evening asks for a different kind of attention than a dance floor. The tempo builds slowly, the audience leans in, and by the final kalaam the whole room is clapping in time.

Our qawwali party performs in the traditional format — a lead vocalist supported by a chorus, harmonium, tabla and dholak, with the rhythmic hand-clapping that gives the form its pulse. The repertoire moves between classical Sufi poetry and the film qawwalis most guests will recognise.

Where it works best

Sufi nights suit mehendi functions, cocktail evenings, milestone birthdays and any gathering where you want music people listen to rather than only dance to. It also pairs beautifully with a candle-lit or lantern-based décor scheme.
